Photographer's Note

First of all, this post is dedicated to Rob. He is a lover of Art and of visiting Museums. He enjoys capturing the relationship between the artwork and the viewers of the artwork in a gallery setting.

As for the title My Love Hate Relationship...that refers to my love for Art as well, but I do not like the type of Art you see in my main post, and in the WS's. So I find myself conflicted.

When I pay money to visit a gallery such as this in Barcelona, I expect to see artwork from famous painters that impress me, inspire me. Not Artwork that looks like it could have been painted by a 5 year old.

Here is a prime example. Here we have 3 "paintings" (if you can call them paintings) that have a slim black wiggly line shooting across the canvas. Seriously???

If you look in the WS you will see an even more stupid example. Its a large canvas with only 1 small blue dot on it. Seriously??? I paid to view this?

I understand the fact that the artist is trying to make a statement, a point, whatever it may be - but honestly I find it to be an insult. Insulting to think that the average person will find this uplifting and or spiritual or memorable.

Anyways, that my honest opinion. Take a look at the WS for an even more horrible example.
