This is the FALLA (we call Falla this kind of monuments made of wood, mud and paper) which has won the 1st prize in the Fallas Contest this year, just few minutes before burning it.
You can see a fireman at the bottom to have an idea of the size. The fireman is preparing the falla for the burning.
This monument costs 600.000 Euros and one year of work of about 100 people.
In the Fallas Festival in our city of Valencia we stand 370 Fallas like this during three days (17, 18 and 19th March) every year and we burn them the last day (19th) at 24:00.
