Sierra de Alor, a photo from Badajoz, Extremadura

Photographer's Note

Last weekend I went to Sierra de Alor, a few kms far from the city of Olivenza, in Spain. I spent the day exploring the mountain. The view from the top is simply amazing and during this time of the year many people go there for a very specific reason, the Paeonia are in full bloom and there are lots of them at the top, adding much colour and parfum to the place. This is just a small part of the view from there.

quel jeu d'ombres et lumière quelle vue cette forme en carré avec la partie en retour ces vaches toutes petites dans le pré vert quelle hauteur et vue.

Great view and I really love the shadows from the clouds naming such an interesting pattern across the touch green fields. We could really appreciate that effect from this high vantage point

Wow, what a great view looking down on the very green fields and the wonderful shadows of the clouds. Perfect composition, the farm is well placed in the lower left quarter of the photo. The tiny cows look so nice too.

The hike up the mountain was really worth the trip and the view down to the valley below is amazing indeed. The lonely farmhouse inmidst the lush green pastures with the dotted cows around is a real eye catcher. The play of lights and shadows add a further interest.

Hello Ana,
I love this green landscape-composition.
A simple but very effective image. The dark shadows of the clouds makes the green vivid.
The lines of the roads, the dots of the cattle and the red-white of the farm completes an almost abstract composition.
Fascinating work.

Hello Ana,
It seems like you were flying over a plain.
The shadows of the clouds (I guess) provide an attractive composition.
The cattle looks like little ants.

looking at this one i can easily understand why you wanted to head up for this viewpoint. look at the photo you got!
and the more I look at it i notice the large clouds providing shadows on the green fields, perfect.
well worth the effort and time.
