Photographer's Note

Between Quintanilla del Coco and Santo Domingo de Silos there's a little place called Santa Cecilia.

You can see more photos of this place (in the links you will photos by another TE members only, but also I posted time ago photos of this place).

But also you should know something about this place.
Is in the middle of the Tabladillo valley and time ago there was an ancient village. From there you could control all the valley and even there was a roman camp. Is possible find still an ancient necropolis and was an important place in the medieval period.

Finally was done the actual hermitage, a mossarab hermitage. And is not easy find mossarab hermitages in Spain.
The hermitage was done above a little hill. Just down is the river "Mataviejas" (a wrong translation could be "kill old women"). And from that hill was possible, as I've said, control all the valley.

I mean that is an special place.
The place by itself and the history of the place.
And special also because I shared there my time with friends of TE.

I hope you like it.

(there will be more pictures of Santa Cecilia)
