Another revisit to Stockholm. This ornate tower is part of the Nordiska Museet (Nordic Museum). It was built in the late 19th century in renaissance style.
Don't forget the large version.

whats not to like here? I love how its so bold and so upclose, filling the frame nicely. and you couldn't ask for better lighting and illumination. Fun viewing all the little details and stone. cheers

Hello Ian, A new series from your travels? Fantastic symmetric presentation of this museum Stockholm. I like how you cut the tower. Many lovely details, like golden elements, that I haven't noticed. Nice balconies on higher and higher levels. Would be fun to have a view from there.

Hello Ian,
You take a giant step from PNG to Sweden. Everything looks so much sharper in my country. ;-) This is not the most common angle for a photo of Nordiska museet, and it reveals a lot of fine details. Light and sharpness are really amazing.

This looks like a huge building but your chosen section shows us some delightful details of the design, the architectural details, the colours and the materials. You have done well to capture such a very symmetrical composition.
You are right to alert us to the larger version which is pin-sharp.

beautiful architecture, this style is my favourite, so very decorative.
Well captured, the symmetry helped to make a eye catching presentation.

A good upward pov on the Nordic Museum. I may or may not have taken a quick shot on my way to the Vasa Museum nearby. Good sharpness and lighting and the green towers either side add symmetry. Tfs!
