Photographer's Note
Hello folks.
My fourth and last photo in this miniseries from Astrid Lindgren’s world in Vimmerby. This is a copy of the main street. To get a hint of the scale: the camera is held at a height of ~1.5 meters. The pebbles (right word?) in the street are also scaled, they are much smaller here than they originally are.
In the WS there is another view of the city. It’s the main square in which you find the City Hotel (Stadshotellet), the pink building.
In my other WS you can see that the kids can have fun not only looking and playing in the small houses, but also sliding down a chute.
In the note of my first photo from here you will find more facts about this children’s playground.

Hej Per,
This is a nice street, looking very authentic if we go back some decades to find the original!
Image is well composed with fine details, but it is hard to imagine this is scaled down as all the details are very well done...

Hi Per,
Being a model railroader I like playing with scales. I took a careful look at this and wondered if anything reveals that those houses are small. And the only thing is the background trees. This is POV one could see from the second floor of a double decker if this would be normal scale. Maybe this would be more efficient if there was one 'giant' walking somewhere down the street.
