Photographer's Note
Spring has started, but I want to remind you something about this long winter.
A big snow in Como and Bellinzona (80 cm in 36 hours).
So I shot this unusual view of Castelgrande covered by snow. I think that BW conversion, emphasized by 1600 ISO grain add some dramatism to the shot.
Camera handheld, leaning a shoulder against a wall.

Stefano,
What a great job you did here. What I like most is the fact that you have a significant portion of the image which has really no interest (ie the black sky and snow to the left). However, the presence of this space adds very positively to the composition and contributes to the dramatic features that you describe in your note. Visualizing this as a cropped image doesn't do it: your version is much better.
The texture in the snow goes well with the texture in the castle's wall. The fact that the side of the tower is blacked out with no details also adds to the shot.
Very nice

Bravo, bella foto e veramente inusuale negli ultimi anni...
Un piacere veder la mia città così ben fotografata, abitando in Cina...
Complimenti!
