J ai fait cette photo il y a quelque mois au creux du van.Je voulais donner une sensation de vide a cette photo.

Jeff,

I like this composition. You reduced the depth by covering up with fog/cloud.

I am wondering how it looks when you take the frame in a portrait mode rather than landscape so that you can show the depth of the canyon.

C'est une image assez drôle. Au lieu du sens de vide, c'est presque comme si la falaise est contre un lac si tranquille que c'est comme un miroir. Malgré le brouillard, tu as pu voir beaucoup plus que lors de mon unique visite. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs riches et la nettété qui contrastent avec le brouillard.

Bien vu Jeff, tu as capté un très belle lumière sur les rochers ! j'aurai bien vu un personnage dans l'image pour donner un peu de vie, et donner un point fort pour capter d'avantage l'attention !

J'aime beaucoup la qualité de la lumière très chaude et paisible.

Mon seul "regret" tient à la composition, trop "fifty-fifty" à mon goût. Je m'imagine qu'un cadrage déporté sur ta droite avec une répartition 1/3-2/3 en faveur du brouillard aurait donné plus la sensation de vide dont tu parles.

Mais c'est bô quand même!

Well, this is really stunning! One day I hope to be up at the Creux in conditions like this. I've been there three times so far and haven't managed to catch a temperature inversion.

I'm guessing that this was shot at dawn from the 'Le Soliat' side? In any case, the quality of light is stunning with the sun highlighting the rock beautifully against the fog. One of the best shots I've seen from this amazing location.
