This is a very well-made photograph of an amazing spectacle: I really had no idea that Lac Leman ever experienced such Arctic weather! Your choice of B/W is excellent (mind you, I'm always attracted to B/W anyway!). Although it's shot almost into the sun, you've succeeded in controlling contrast very well; the fairly small aperture has given you fantastic depth of field, without sacrificing suffiient shutter speed to capture the birds sharply. A lovely piece of work!

Quel spectacle étonnant, en effet ! La banquise et une impression d'Alaska sur les bords du Lac Léman...
La composition me plaît bien avec cette vague dont le mouvement est figé et les oiseaux en vol.

this is a magnificent picture of the power of the elements. There's great depth as the pier like a giant ice monster is crawling out to the lake. The texture of the agitated water and foam is fantastic, frozen by your lens. The flock of birds flying over the battered pier is very well captured and adds action and drama to the picture. Well done!

very nice monochrome landscape shot from coast line in winter season...A very spectacular image...
