Photographer's Note

It seems that carrying an umbrella for sheltering oneself from the snow has something of a sacrilege in Minnesota … of course it is easier to find a “Britishman” with an umbrella in New York, rather than eating a homemade pie at around the corner’s delicatessen in Braham or St Paul…

Joking of course. Everyone here (ok, above 30 years old) uses an umbrella to shelter from the snow. It’s obvious. It’s water after all.. you’re not getting the point of this note? I’ll explain it someday, when the sun will be back with its warm summer rays.

I liked the light pouring on the tree’s branches covered with snow. Preferred not to have the sky to accentuate the oppressive atmosphere of winter in the city..

ps: Place de la Fusterie (& Temple with the same name in the background)
