Photographer's Note
She really intended to spend her afternoon reading in the park. And he is probably a good writer.
But the book just couldn’t compete with the sun pouring down like honey on her face.
I guess this photo could have been taken anywhere in the world. But I like things that we all have in common.
With this photo I’m starting a new series in a completely different mood of what I’ve been posting lately. The next ones will all be candid shots, taken almost without focusing and without any thought about technique. I first intended to post process them by cropping and adjusting, but what the hell, let it be as it is!!
NB: Workshops welcome on these ones!

A funny title and good shot. Candid and simple every day picture. Great composition and very well done in B&W.

No need to WS, it's perfect this way, Gal. A wonderful moment, and excellent light and contrast. From the toy truck I learn that she's a young mother and her child is playing around, a great moment for a short sleep. Very very good shot.

The play of light and shadows here is so lovely, Gal! Her calm face emanates inner calmness too. Good choice for B&W as it increases the perceived feelings, without distracting colours. Very good job!

Very good capture of the moment, Gal. Looking at this is almost equally relaxing as the woman must have felt when you took her picture. Looks great in "straight" b&w (as opposed to the sepia kind of tones in which you presented your work so far). I regret a little that her left leg is cut, but this is surely a great shot and one that makes me curious about the upcoming ones.

Something different from you today! All the elements work well here. Good idea to leave the dark space above her.

Gal, you are so right - nothing can compete with the soft sun. You're right about the common grounds of this shot - and that makes it interesting + the story. I liked reading that we're goanna see a new series from you (hopefully with people, since you know how to catch them well)

Beautiful blow, the light is perfect like the position of the character, a beautiful framing for an interesting picture, well considering.

This is a very god BW picture. I am especially impressed with the way you compose this with the shadows on top. Dramatic.

Excellent photo. This shot has it all. The lights and shadows are wonderful. She is relaxed and sure looks good.
I agree with all the others that black and white is the best choice here. You can concentrate fully on all the details.
I add it to my favorites. Thanks.

Hi Gal,
she is a mother so she is always tired!
Her little boy is playing around in the garden with other pals (if not she will not sleep quietly) and other mum's are patrolling.
Nice image well worked on B&W, don't know about the "cut" of her feet but the goal on her reading relaxation has been pleased.
A smile
