Photographer's Note
As time goes by and we get older, our soul seems to wake up gently to life.
It becomes a presence, a shadow perhaps… it is part of us, but at the same time we can perceive it outside our body like if it was an old friend sitting silently by our side. Sometimes we don’t even realize it is there, like a mirror, looking at us, leading our smallest gestures, sharing our inner thoughts.
Its presence becomes obvious from the moment when we suddenly realize that TIME is not just an abstract mental construction. It is real. Days pass quickly. And everything you miss at this precise instant, is already behind you and no longer available.
That’s why photography moves us so: it is the art of capturing a single and unique status of the subject, which was never reached before and won’t ever be reached again. It is the only way to see how the “present was”, and extract it from its abstraction.
The only permanent thing in Life is change. And that’s the process we all have to go through in our way from birth to death.

Still in philosophical mood I see. Another great daily life portrait. I don't think I'd change anything here.

Merci Gal.

great picture Gal..I also think there is a change in your pictures and I like these in a different way...like ; ones before were more distant to everything, these are more from deep within...from alienated to dramatic..
excellant reflection...I can see his eye unseen in real him...objects he is looking at look like they are the part that grows old with us..

Touching notes, Gal. All consuming picture. Time really goes on quickly: important is to leave a good memory of us: so we have to operate well.

Interesting picture and note Gal!
Very intimist, but the note seems me a little sad and nostalgic :(, I think the life's changes are essential to feel alive...but I would comment the picture, I like the reflection and the little icon in the shop window is a great touch, very well seen!;)

Very good frame, you caught a spontanic situation very well, the person is very clear and the reflection adds a lot to the frame.

Your fine capture illustrates your lovely philosophical note very well, Gal. I like the way you use reflection here very much. And the expression on the face of this old man: squinting, peering, a tad unsure of him self and his surroundings - is priceless. Great capture!

Hi Gal, his pose is so recognizable. The way he squeezes his eyes is great, but together with your philosophical notes, it's just really great. It's nice, hes' having trouble seeing it, but we also, because of all the reflection.

Stunning and so impressive, Gal! I like the way you captured him in profile, keeping his personality half-hidden. Great composition again and as for your notes, I enjoy reading them so much. You are a born writer, Gal, together with the photographic talant you have...:-) Excellent shot!
