Photographer's Note

I was supposed to have a 5 hour stopover in Kyiv. It turned out to be 13 after my flight to Latvia was cancelled.

My Kazakh friends from the plane was going to Moscow and they also had around 5 hours there. So we grouped together and they joined me on the super fast sightseeing with my friend that I met in Budapest one month earlier. Olga took us to all the best places. I was impressed! I never knew Kyiv was such a green city. Wonderful churches, big parks, playgrounds and street art is what I associate the city with. Absolutely a city worth checking out!

This church, St. Andrew's Church, is located in the area my friend labeled as "Montmartre of Kyiv". Just having returned from Paris, she knows what she's talking about.
