How come you don't have a critique on this one? This is a great black and white with a strong compo and a very interesting figure. The eye contact is awesome and the photo very moody. It really looks a work by the first street masters like Winogrand or Friedlander. Top stuff.

Yes I have to agree with luisafonso, this is one of your best pic. I loved the foucus on the subject, his cloths, face and B&W colors make it a classic

Witaj Adam.
No naprawde ciekawe spojrzenie i fajna perspektywa z tym drugim panem w tle.
Pozdrawiam
a.

Hi Adam,
Priceless attitude and expression (what a look !). And the good B&W conversion, the bokeh, the presence of the other man in the background make this picture really interesting.

What a gazing look he gave you this man Adam, great use of short DOF to spot him out.

Jurek g.

A very nice, atmospheric picture Adam. I think the character in the background adds a lot of interest (as mentioned before) and creates a good balance, is framed well and in a way points to the character in the foreground. The eye contact with the main character is great.

Hello Adam,
This is very good Image. The focus on the old man is superb and I really like to take this kind of shots. Only the Dof could be little less. The other old man in the background is a vital part in the frame. But his gaze is priceless.

Hi Adam,
fantastic composition. Great light and so sharp. Good DOF and the man makes good eye contact, not sure if he approves but....too late. A really great capture, well done.

Damn this is good, he looks like a KGB soviet spy in action. Movie-like composition and lovely b/w.
Thanks, Alain -

Hi Adam,
This is a REALLY NICE one. The guy's attitude is like in a communist country 60's picture. In a perfect world, I would had probably liked a longer DOF to open more details on the man on the right, and also avoid the crop on his bag.
A wonderfull capture.
Best, Florin

Hello Adam,
Great approach to this old man. He seems very curious on what you were doing. His expression was very well captured. The way you've composed the photo is also very good with the blurred background, putting in prominence the main subject of the photo but still clear enough so that we can appreciate some action on the background.
Good work!
Rgds.

Hi Adam,
Nice job. I like the DOF and the shadows in the background a lot. Also nice to see that other man with the cane in the distance. Nice job!

The look and the clothes worn by the man and choose of B&W are just perfect for this fantastic shot.It seems like he was also sizing the photographer up.Also the blurred man in the background formed a interesting juxtaposition. Congratulations!

two old men from Lviv, the old man in the bokeh is also very nicely captured. A quizical expression on his face. Makes me think of the 50's.

Witaj Adamie
pozdrowienia, Wojtek

I like this photo very much, the man has something of a undercover-superhero attitude, don't you think? The composition is comic-like to me.

Wow! Man, what a fantastic capture! This is in the tradition of the best of the Magnum classics, HCB, Erwitt, etc come to mind...
Powerful, acutely insightful, and technically superb. Love the strong bokeh and the critical detail on the man. Superb black and white tonality and sharpness. Bravo!
