Photographer's Note

This photo was taken during a boat tour of Windsor to Boveney lock on the Thames River. We took French Brothers boat tour and had a great time with some outstanding views of Windsor, Eton College and the countryside.
Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. The castle is notable for its long association with the English and later British royal family and also for its architecture. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror. Since the time of Henry I, it has been used by succeeding monarchs and is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. The castle's lavish, early 19th-century State Apartments are architecturally significant, described by art historian Hugh Roberts as "a superb and unrivalled sequence of rooms widely regarded as the finest and most complete expression of later Georgian taste". The castle includes the 15th-century St George's Chapel, considered by historian John Martin Robinson to be "one of the supreme achievements of English Perpendicular Gothic" design. More than five hundred people live and work in Windsor Castle.

Hello Asa,
Great photo of Windsor Castle, a place that is really high on my still-to-visit list. Superb sharpness and it's nice to have the river and trees in the foreground. The plane is also a nice detail.

a nice idea to include the Thames and the boats in front of the most impressive Windsor Castle giving the picture extra depth.
Lovely clear details including the air craft taking off from Heathrow I guess.

The boat tour allowed you to have a great view of the Windsor castle. The trees are framing well the castle. The point of view is showing the details of the Windsor castle. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

I don't think I've seen a photo of this castle from this pov, I like it! You captured great elements including the modern airplane. Good lighting in spite of what looks like a cloudy day and nice details. Well done, tfs.
