Photographer's Note

I have made a short trip to the south of England this Easter. The main destination was PEPPA PIG WORLD which is a Theme Park near Southampton. For those who don’t know it: Peppa Pig is a fantastic British cartoon for little children. It is really well done, both cartoon and the Theme Park. I have spent a lot of time in a variety of lines there, waiting for example to meet “in person” Peppa Pig and take a photo with her or to enter her house.

On the way back home we stopped to visit the Windsor Castle. I must say I was a bit shocked by the entry tickets price but in the end it was comparable to Peppa Pig World. Again, we were waiting in a long long line in front of the entrance to the castle. And then I finally got it! Crowds of people pay 20 pounds for entry everyday, hundreds of souvenir shops, etc. It is like one huge government sponsored Theme Park and Reality Show in one, isn’t it?

This photo presents a fragment of the Windsor Castle with the Monument of HRH (Her Royal Highness). People are crowding behind to buy tickets to the castle.
