Suspended, a photo from Bristol, England

I had a back luck to weather during this trip as well. On the first day, which we spent mainly at the Warwick Castle, the weather was changeable but acceptable, but the following two days were terrible weather-wise. On the very same day on which we arrived in Bristol from Warwick, I tried to take some blue hour photos of the most famous Bristol landmark which is the Clifton Suspension Bridge (in this photo). A night before going there I contacted Jorge who took a nice photo of this bridge:

asking about the point of view he has used. It was not easy to figure it out from the Google Maps.
Nevertheless it was not the point of view which was the problem. It somehow didn't work as expected. At the earlier time, the surrounding was well visible but the sky was not in the blue hour moment yet. Later, when the sky was amazing the setting was dark and the lights of the bridge very bright.
I think I would need few more attempts to get it right.
Also the level of water in the river Avon below was very low so to be able to see the river I needed to go to the very right end of the footpath, and from that angle the bridge view was less attractive,
Maybe during the day I could spend more time researching various angles.
Anyway, on the next day morning I went to the same place again with the hope to get some better photos of this bridge but the weather was really bad and so were the photos.

I just love the Clifton Suspension Bridge and you have done it great justice. It looks almost to be floating in space. Lighting and colours very good.

Hello Mariusz, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this picture. I love the way that the bridge is illuminated and surrounded by the blackness of the land.
This shot stands out in the thumbnails, so nothing much wrong there!
To me, you managed a perfect point of view.

An amazing photo of this beautiful, well-known bridge. It is illuminated so wonderfully and the golden and silver tones really make the structure seem to be floating in the dark. Nice pastel tones in the sky also.

You can't actually see what exactly spans the bridge here.
But I don't know if that's important with this kind of evening photo.
We see a wonderfully illuminated bridge that seems to rise from a dark space and whosoever rides over it will come upon the other side in complete darkness as well.
I think this is very nicely done.

Duży kontrast oświetlenia powoduje że most jest jeszcze bardziej w powietrzu :)
Faktycznie porownanie ze zdjeciem Jorga to dwa zupelnie inne swiaty. Super miejsce z potecjalem... gdybym mial blizej pojechalbym tez pofocic :)

Striking light contrasts and graphism between the brightly illuminated suspension bridge and the dark shadowed canyon it crosses. The diagonal axis adds dynamism. Good sharpness too.

Maybe this photograph was not quite what you had intended but it is remarkable! The bridge appears to be floating! Though we cannot see the river or the surrounding area, the illuminated bridge, floating in an inky blackness, is truly striking!

Jak juz pisales, trudno jest w Wielkiej Brytanii zaplanowac urlop tak, zeby miec gwarantowana pogode do zdjec. Ale dla kogos, kto nie byl obecny przy twoim procesie tworczym, to zdjecie jest jednak bardzo atrakcyjne. Pieknie oswietlony most na eleganckim ciemnym tle. Kompozycja po przekatnej i dobrze zarysowana perspektywa zdecydowanie nadaja zdjeciu uroku.
Widzialam ten most tylko raz, przejazdem. Robi wrazenie nawet w pochmurny dzien. Wiec troche zazdroszcze tej wieczornej sesji! :-)

The contrast between light and dark creates an interesting illusion in this photo. It does seem like the roadway and towers of the bridge are suspended in midair, without anything below them. I also like the fading light in the sky. Take care!
