My first attempt at shooting moving objects. Every Thursday night in August, they hold Whippet Races at The Lizard. Its good fun.

Suggestion : Try next race photo with a travelling frame from left to right.

Getting good action shots is not easy and I think this is an extremely good first attempt.
I would crop off most of the grass behind the dogs to give a stronger impression of them running into frame. As it stands they are very central.

A very good first effort, evidence of paning the camera, subjects kept in sharp focus, well done.
My part of the country is characterized as cloth caps and whippet racing, whippet racing still goes on but not on a regular basis.

Very well done. The dogs are in the centre, breaking the golden rule, but still has a good expression. Taken from the shadowside, the dogsfaces come out good. Really, the eyes and teeth of nr4 are full of expression. As an experiment, yuo can crop off most of the grass and focus on these faces - i'll try to make a quick workshop of it to show what i mean. Great photo - what exposuretime did you use?

Anen, this is very good shot, I hawe a whippet and it´s wery hard to make photo of them becouse of the speed. It is better to take only one dog to see muscles of this wonderful animals
