hello Richard,
an attractive composition with atmospheric colours. I find the tree leaves on the left a little distracting but i don't suppose that could be helped as cropping them would spoil your compo.
As this is Trekearth rther than Treklens, embers appreciate a note. This because of the learning about the earth focus of the site. Some members don't bother critiqueing uploads without notes, so its best to add something, especially as photographers from the other side of the world may not have a clue about the Lake District.

Hi Rich,

I like this picture a lot. It gives off a great atmosphere. I think that it would look better without the branch in the left but even with that its good.

Hi Richard. One of my favourite places in the whole world - especially as my missus and I are partial to a bit of gingerbread!

The composition and sharpness are excellent, however, I can't decide whether there's too much or not enough of the twigs / branches showing on the left.

Also, a little more brightness and contrast might 'lift' the image a little as, whilst it is an excellent scene, needs a bit more drama in my opinion.

Very nice work overall, though.

A very atmospheric shot. The hills look quite menacing.

I think I might have cropped out the branches but maybe they add something
