Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Further to my recent postings of Beamish Open Air Museum, I just felt that I had to extend the understanding of it by posting this wider view.

I cannot help thinking how much this looks like a picture by L.S. Lowry!

The scene shows one of the streets in the museum where old fashioned lampposts, tram tracks abound. There is an omnibus unloading in the background in front of a building which I think was the bank. The old garage was to the right and contained lots of old motorbikes and bicycles as well as cars. Mechanics were busy repairing them!!

You can appreciate how many people were enjoying this time warp!

I will add a closer view of the people alighting from the omnibus as a workshop.

I was fortunate to be on a tram which allowed me this elevated view.

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)
