Photographer's Note

Iconic England and historic London - the famous Tower of London, the medieval fortress that sits in the heart of the capital on the north bank of the River Thames. Steeped in bloody history being built by William the Conqueror in 1078 and originally a Royal Palace it underwent expansion during the reigns of the English Kings - Richard the Lionheart, Henry II and Edward I and its layout today remains almost as it was at the end of the 13th century. Ironically London has changed dramatically around it and is still changing today - I have to own up to the fact that this shot has been manipulated by me, with no less than 4 large cranes being cloned out so as to make the magnificence of this castle stand out so proudly. I hope you like it despite my tinkering…….
