Photographer's Note

It's Epiphany today, the end of Christmas for some, while 6th of December happens to be the Christmas Eve for some others. Whenever it ends, it will start again some time in August when the first Christmas cards will be displayed in my local supermarket. I don't mind. I may have mentioned before I'm like a magpie, I like glitter and lights, anything that brings some magic into my life.

But above all, I love the natural spectacles like this one: snow, sunrises, mist, birds singing in the trees. That's the best of magic I can imagine.

This cottage is situated in my local park and this where the park keeper (whatever exactly that means) lives. The photo was taken last year, we don't enjoy snow every winter!

Hello Kasia,
In case you haven't used this as a Christmas card, you should. It's a very pretty view, partly thanks to the gently falling snow, partly because the park keeper has such a nice home. Two trees frame the view of the cottage perfectly, and perhaps the finest thing is that the winter light has not killed the colours. Especially the red leaves of the hedge are really bright and beautiful.
The WS is quite funny. It could be another Christmas card.

Hello Kasia,
For a moment I thought this was a picture of your country house :)
As Gert pointed out, this photo can be used as a Christmas card.
The picture is well composed, has good depth and shows a pretty winter landscape as well as a cozy house.
The person who came to the park by bike will probably ride back with cold and wet pants :)

Great winter and a lovely snowfall picture is so well depicted here taken from well chosen POV where snow defines shapes so beautifully. I like the colour in this - gives a Christmassy feel and it's about seizing the moment... Even on a cold day when you feel like staying in bed...

gotta love these snowy scenes right? who wouldn't. Were you using an umbrella or something to cover the camera? even the ugliest of scenes would look pretty like this - not that this is ugly. love it. Now I know what to get you for Christmas, Glitter anyone? cheers

You could have titled 'White Magic': It was practiced through blessings, charms and songs by goddesses and I consider you carried forward the tradition while photographing such seasonal romance captured by the rules book :)

Ciao Kasia,in fact this photo is truly magical, no you can hear the birds but you can imagine the audio, and the view is really perfect for a storybook. Unfortunately, snow has also become a rare thing in northern Italy, unlike when I was a child, the bike in WS is also very beautiful. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

A fascinating composition, I love landscapes with snow and when I see an image like this I think, in the warmth of its interior next to a fireplace and how delicious it is to see the snowfall behind a window, although I also like to step on it.
The snow covered bicycle is beautiful as it is made of sugar.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.

To jest w Bushy Parku? Śliczne zdjecie z padającym śniegiem. Teraz raczej rzadko możemy oglądać taki spektakl. Fantastyczna pocztówka bożonarodzeniowa. Ciekawa jestem, co sie tam czerwieni na tym żywopłocie. Moze to jagody ognika? Wydaje mi sie tez, ze widzę renifera kolo drzwi.

Widze ze jestes w zimowym temacie, od Polski poprzez Szwecje do Wielkiej Brytanii.
Bardzo fotogeniczne miejsce. Ja dawniej interesowalem sie raczej podrozniczymi zjeciami, ale z czasem zaczalem tez docenial lokalne wycieczki. Zreszta przeprowadzajac sie ciagle te lokalne pozwalaly mi zobaczyc wiele miejsc. Co innego jest lokalne w Cork a co innego w Los Angeles. Teraz pierwszy raz jestem 10 lat w jednym miejscu! I stad wlasnie z mojego lokalnego parku zaczynam pokazywac coraz wiecej zdjec... Moze to starosc...
