This shot was taken from infront of Aireyholme Farm the ancestral home for the first 16 years of his life of Capt James Cook the great explorer..
In the distence you can see Rosebbery Topping a well known land mark and part of The cleveland Hills.
Roseberry Topping was connected with the vikings,as the word 'Topping' from 'Toppen',is one of a number of old Viking words for a hill,but the original Viking name for Roseberry Topping was Odins-Beorge meaning Odin's Hill..
Roseberry may have been a centre for the worship of the viking god Odin in Pagan times
