Hello Ged.
Nice shot. A beautiful view, full of warm colors.
A correction in the vertical perspectitive would help. Take care with the polarizer filter... it tends to darken the corners when used in wide angular.
I've prepared a workshop.

Great castle very well presented. Great colors and compo. As a critique: I would have very slightly corrected the perspective.

You had better weather today in Helmsley than we had at the coast; usual grey skies.
You chose a good POV for this Ged. I like the way we are looking up to it and to the keep behind. You have caught some nice detail in the stonework and the vegetation. Well done

Hi ged. I like the greens around the castle. Looking upover was it built like that, the hill to go into the building or Was the castle built over the hill?. I love History. Cheers.

Ged nice lighting in this photo scene. To have so many old pieces of history in your area really makes me envious. Nicely framed and the sun low angle really helps make this a pleasure to view. Thanks for posting. Paul

hi Ged, an interesting historic photo, and it's actually deserted now, isn't it? I can imagine at some point in the past it must have been a lavish place. Good perspective. The light situation could have been better though, I think, because it looks like light is coming from the left, then again you may not have had a decent frame shooting from that angle.

Hi Ged,
nice POV and great DOF. Very sugestive capture of this ruins. I'm not sure for the colour of the sky. On my monitor seem a little too violet... but it can be only my old monitor. TFS

Hej Ged,
Nice castle, captured from a good PoV. I like to see how the castle is built against the hill. Fine colours too, well done.
