I took this one at Saltwick Bay near Whitby. What a fantastic location and a place with quite a spiritual feel to it. A very calming place to shoot.

Howdy Mark,

A fine twilight Saltwick Bay view across the low tide marine environment, and the large monolith in the distance, with the setting sun radiating the water and stormy clouds.

You first picture on TrekEarth is a very nice one, congratulations!
The composition is perfect with the rocks on the foreground, the depth of field very well managed and the colors are beautiful.

Welcome to TE. That's a cracking opening scene: the sky is really dramatic. The light is reflected in the wet stone and the texture shows very nicely.
I have to say I feel a certain "hunger" to get more info about the place in your note. I.e. does the rock to the rifgt have a name?
