Photographer's Note

Prior to engaging in the deep deliberations of the Cropredy Summit, the group repaired to the magnificent surroundings of the Stowe Landscape Gardens.

Much can be said about these magnificent gardens, but leave it to this link to say it all better than I !

This image is of the rear of the Temple of Concord and Victory, which is the largest and grandest of Stowe's temples. It was originally called 'The Grecian Temple'. Built in 1747-9, its designer still remains unknown.

I would have shown you the front view, but alas I never saw it ! This image is a stitch of two, as the surrounding trees force a POV so close as to be impossible to use only one. There is an image of the front and the grand steps in the gallery section of the link above.
