Photographer's Note
Before Covid there was a biennial boat festival at Hawne canal basin on the Dudley Number 2 Canal. A place for mooring and repairing narrow boats. Boats were and now painted with rich and ornate patterns, often castles and roses. These boats were originally homes for whole families when cargoes such as coal were moved about the country. This canal basin is in the heart of the Black Country and the festival celebrates many things connected with life on the canal. The festival lasts over two days and is a very interesting place to visit, especially as there is a local craft beer stall.

Hello David,
Are the barges really moored on a curve or is this the result of a fisheye lens?
Whatever, I do like the effect, the curve seems to arrange the boats in a lovely, fan-like pattern.
I live quite near Skipton which is famous for these barges. They used to have an annual barge festival which was a great occasion for photography and sense of fun.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

We can clear see the houseboats, also different paintings are attractive, sharpness and clarity are pleasant.
An excellent composition too.

Hi David
What do you call a huge clutch of canal boats? I don't know but this is a great capture in panoramic format of many boats. A great POV.
cheers

Hi David
That's the powerful effect of ultra wide lens taken from central viewpoint. I can see you’ll have some fun in a tight situation there playing around a little with angle distortion. lines, curves and perspective. It's clean, bright and something different. Excellent lens work
Best regards

Hello David,
Good repetition of the moored houseboats, with excellent sharpness and colour. The wide angled panoramic view works well here. Tfs!
