Photographer's Note
We were visiting Lennoxlove Castle, the home of the Duke of Hamilton. In one room was a death mask of Mary Queen of Scots, who was beheaded in 1587 at the age of forty-four.
The mask has been kept by the family since then.
The current Duke's grandfather was on the first expedition to fly over Mount Everest in 1933.
