Photographer's Note

Even though the days are getting slighty longer the sun stays low and struggles to get much higher across the Black Mount. Here it is low from the left, the light bouncing back from the snow fields of Stob Gabhar. The loch is frozen and making great cracking noises as the ice moves. A great day for business on the ski slopes of Glen Coe.

Oh, this is SUPERB, Dougie!
I love all the blue tones surrounding that wonderful snow covered mountain. The lighting is awesome and I love the frosted grasses in the foreground. The lone tree makes a wonderful silhouette. This is just magnificent! Beautiful job!! Thanks and warmest regards,

Hermoso paisaje Dougie, lo que me gusta y resulta curioso es que la luz del sol, ilumina solo la montaña, resaltando su color blanco, la nieve... y esto rodeado de un azul intenso, cargado de detalles es simplemente espectacular...

Hi, dougie. The contrast between the foreground and the mountains in the distance is well marked and bringd out both parts very well. You have maanged to keep enough details in the foreground to make it interesting and not burn the background either. The small tree is very well placed to frame the snowy tops.

Hi Dougie! excellent shot!This landscape is important picture with the way of reception to be front the dark frozen water with the shades and the lines of plants and behind silhouettes the hills with the figures and the white snow. I want him to place in my collection in my theme(silhouettes figures outline)?

Wonderfull landscape, perfectly captured and composed.
Dark blue sky builds a wonderfull background for those snowy hills.

Great shot ! You show us Scotland an unusual way, with this frozen lake on foreground and the snow on the mountains in the background. The light is cold like ice and snow ! Very nice framing too, with the shadow of the small island with this lonely little tree.
