Hi Brendan -- that's really highland, mysterious landscape. castle in that great cloudy wheather seems older and more mighty.. I've never been there but would like to go to that north parts of UK. good job, cheers,

I have driven past this castle several times on my travels to Scotland. I think you have captured it perfectly, the clouds add to atmosphere, it makes a change to see a moody shot rather than one where the castle is lit by sunlight, after all it is Scotland.
The shot needs to be rotated a couple of degrees anticlockwise as the castle seems to be slightly tilted to the right.
Overall though a very good picture, well done.

Great composition! The lighting and colors are outstanding with nice sharpness and detail. The contrast is really good as is the sky.

A very nice castle. You've here a very nice ray of light but the upper part is a little bit dark. Anyway a very pleasant shot.

That's really a nice shot. It's also funny to see how it jumps out of all those summer shots posted right now. Good composition, heavy clouds all around, enough to see in the foreground and nice how the bridge cuts into the picture, leading the eye to the castle. Nice, moody shot!

Very moody image,very foreboding place,cold & dark,if only there had been a lamp glowing in one of the windows to give a little warmth & show some form of habitation.Excellent capture
you have caught the light wonderfully here & let us see a more dramatic view of this castle..
