Photographer's Note

hello...Skye's Black Cuillin form the most challenging range of mountains in Scotland. This panorama takes in the full sweep of the Black Cuillin, but extends around to Rum in the south and Bla Bheinn in the north.

The images making up the panorama were taken on a hand-held camera from grid reference NG522184. This viewpoint, one of the best in Scotland, lies about 50m west of the stony track to Camasunary, where there is a small cairn. The viewpoint is reached by following the track from where it leaves the B8083 (the road to Elgol) just south of Kilmarie, opposite a good parking area. The start of the track is at grid reference NG545172. Reaching the viewpoint involves a 1.7 mile walk, around 500ft of height gained, and one river forded using stepping stones.
