Photographer's Note
St Mary Street in Cardiff, Friday night. That girl on left was drunk, i think she was calling her friends to find her way home.
After taken this shot and a few others police officers appeard and i had short conversation, which ruined my good mood, that was end of photos for tonight.

Hi Maciej,
Another sad image of the way Britain has degenerated into a binge drinking society. If only she knew how bad she looked then perhaps it would change the way she sees herself, but....I doubt it. Well captured.

Hi Maciej.
That's street photography for you! I recognize it so well, this end of night in UK, when people are completely wasted. And this includes girls, which shocked me when I arrived here. Your compo is great and the lights are really good too.
WOOOOOO good photo, it was worth a bit of an argument with the cops!

Well - it was worth it. I admire you for taking this photo, a great capture of "life in a first-world country" ... but great to know the police have their priorities right (not!)

Great documentary photo of the nightlife Maciej, it could very well be a scene here in Perth. I like the division of the shot, of both the outside and the part thats undercover.
Interesting to hear about the police. I will be moving to London in 10 weeks, I hope I don't have any experiences like you did.

Hi Maciej,
Perfect dark mood image, reinforced by the cold light. The compo is well choosen, with the two subject facing in a fancy manner.
Well done

What a great night shot. Reflective colors are amazing and so is your composition. The way you split the frame in two is very good as it shows two completely different worlds. Great one!

Hello Maciej,
A very good documentary picture. A good composition showing the contrast between the apparently drunk girl and the pub lit up on the corner. Good lighting and colours.

I thought this was a photo by the other Maciej at first. You guys are not making Cardiff seem like an appealing place ;D. Gorgeous colours and nice compo and light here.

Hello Maciej. A strong picture, - actually two pictures, if one divides it in the center. Two women are to be seen. The woman left in the picture made herself it "comfortable" . She waits for assistance. A good and documentary photo over the night life and its problems. Also a good and informative text. Very beautifully. Many greetings, Wolfgang.

i dont understand why this is so bad. the girls you see here are all teenagers that have been out clubbing and are either tired or a bit pissed - far better than kids in paris or berlin doing chrystal meth etc. its really not as bad as you think. take this from a British 18 year old who lives in london.

First you must be thankful that the cops did not take your camera away, otherwise I believe you may be joining where your camera was heading:-) I like the composition and also the two distinct tone of colors separated by the center pillar. On the left is the whitish tone of the fluoursent and on the right of the purplish tone of the neon lights. TFS Andre

No có¿, obczyzna przynosi bardzo odmienne widoki, niz polskie sielankowe krajobrazy, jesli jeszcze na codzien masz takie widoki jak ten, coz, tesknota jest uzasadniona...

This is one hellishly raw and hellishly good shot, Maciej. There is a sleezy sadness overpowering every pixel of it. The colours are surreally congruent with the scene. Splendid composition, extremely good work. Am sorry for that poor woman on the phone...

Hi, Maciej
Reading Sabya, i am not sure that it shows something to feel sorry about "our" societies. people have gotten drunk in public since ante-diluvian times, and I wish even one SF street could have the all-out, delirous, fellini-esque fun you caught on St Mary st. I only hope none of these people drive home on their own.
I like the kaleidoscopic nature of the lights and division of the frame, I think you did arm your camera quickly, and the shot is lacking, maybe the angle, or crop, or distance, a tad creativity you have on others of that series. Great eye once more, nonetheless.

Hi Maciej,
An humoristic one. It gives an idea of the night life of Cardiff. I appreciate the composition in two parts of the picture, with two kinds of colours. The position of the woman on the left, under this pancart, is priceless. It could have been the only subject for the picture.
Olivier.
