Photographer's Note

Among the ruins of Tintern Abbey, a Cistercian Abbey 'suppressed' (what a nice term...) by Henry VIII.
The remains in terms of size and complexity are similar to Netley Abbey ruins, but here we have much more dramatic settings and the gothic colonnades are much better preserved. It is a truly magnificent place, and bad weather just improves the experience, seriously.
This was making use of one of the windows, peeking at a tree that may, possibly, finally, show some signs of spring...
The shot was post-processed with a Polaroid film effect and toning...
