Photographer's Note

I arrived at Sandymouth beach hoping for a spectacular sunset casting its light along these interspersed finger like rock formations. Unfortunately on my arrival the tide was so far out that I had to wait long after sunset before the surging tide began to wash back in. I was just about to leave when a big swell came in and rushed through and well behind me. I was perched on the rocks here but I was surrounded by water and I was a little worried incase a second big one was coming next. I am pleased with this one shot though. Because of the long exposure the effect is atmospheric and the blue tones contrast nicely with the horizon.
