Photographer's Note
Trip to Orkney 2004:
I started journey in Fife, first night I spent in Ullapool and after that i chcked the coast line from there to John o'Groats. Long and great way to Orkney.
Ardvreck Castle-have been conctructed by the Clan MacLeod
around 1590. The castle was attacked and captured by the Clan MacKenzie in 1672, in 1726 they have built new house and have moved there.
Easy to get there: Castel stand near Loch Assynt which is joined route A837.

Hello Bartholomiej,
a very atmospheric shot - captures the mood of this cloudy day well. That`s how I remember rainy days in Scotland - grey sky and water, but the green of the grass adding some colour.
Best regards,
Katrin

Hello Bartlomiej,
moody the environment but the beauty of the place is well seen.I like the existence of the ruins of Ardvreck castle,as the three parts of the sea that surround the hill.
Have a good day,Danos

A lovely view on the ruin middle of this Island.
High quality picture with perfect colors, lovely depth and perspective.
Excellent composition, lovely presentation too.
