Photographer's Note
Where could that be?
Durness, north coast of Scotland...
Noooo! You don’t mean it!
A “rocky coastline, pristine beaches with turquoise waters...”, a description you wouldn’t expect about the most northern coast of Scotland...
“Scattered around a string of sheltered sandy coves and grassy cliff tops, Durness straddles the turning point on the main road as it swings east from the inland peat bogs to the coast. Nearby are Smoo Cave, a gaping hole in a sheer limestone cliff, and beautiful Balnakiel beach.”

Hi Viviane
This looks more like Greece than Scotland! Or even Byron Bay in Australia which is sub tropical. Wonderful warm cold colour contrasts with the yellow flowers contrasting against the blue sea and sky. The couples on the beach add scale. Tfs!

Hello, Viviane, my neighbor today again!
What about the TE-meeting preparation?
Wow! The colors of Scottland are superb! I have seen the grey sky, the grey rocks and just cold mood on the photos from this part of the UK. But here is wonderful landscape with so picturesque sea and so attractive flowers on the FG. Best wishes! Serghei

Hello Viviane
Yes, the British coast can be stunning and this is a beauty. It reminds me of parts of the coastal path we once walked, all the way down in Devon. Especially the yellow vegetation does. The light and darker shades of blue remind me of Greece, though. A great scene, well captured.

Hello Viviane,
The beach is remarkable and the yellow flowers brighten the entire photo. But no matter how tempting the beach looks, I believe the water is just slightly warmer in Greece. But the photo is well composed and the light and colours are excellent.

Hello Viviane
It certainly belies its Northern exposure! The Gulf Stream has a lot to do with it, I'm sure. But I'll bet you had your coats on! A lovely place, and a great image to show it to us. Thanks!

Hello Viviane,
I had to readjust my perception when I noticed the tiny figures on the beach for, initially, I had the perspective all wrong!
This coast does look attractive, sandy, smooth, protected by the cliffs and with a deep, blue sea awaiting! The deep yellow gorse adds a splash of colour to the f/g and adds a warmth of atmosphere.
I'm sure you weren't expecting weather like this, early on in May!
How lucky was this!
Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)

Hello Viviane, an idyllic scene, and yes I can believe that it is northern Scotland. I like the presence of a few people on the beach, all enjoying this beautiful place.
Lovely natural colours; the bright yellow gorse(?) is the perfect frame for what lies beyond.
Regards Jean.

Hello dear Viviane,
A beautiful photograph of a beautiful place, the bright spring sunshine and the bright yellow gorse in the foreground giving this place an almost tropical appearance. I remember so well the beautiful pale sands here and in your photograph you capture that perfectly with only a few visitors seen.
Gorgeous light and colours, a fine composition and exquisite details and clarity.
Beautiful!
Kindest Regards,
John.

Hello Viviane,
What a beautiful landscape, and the color of the water is so vibrant. This spot could definitely be mistaken for the Mediterranean. I also like the yellow color in the foreground, and the way the tiny people on the beach are all in pairs. (although one pair might include a dog and not another person!) It's a wonderful view. :-)
