Bealach na Ba, a photo from Highland, Scotland

A very nice feature on my iPad is the possibility to see where EXACTLY the photos were taken, for one day (workshop 1) or the whole Scotland trip (workshop 2).
Today we visited again the Applecross peninsula and we chose drive through the Bealach na Ba pass, and it was a great choice!

The Bealach na Ba ("Pass of the cattle") is not a single attraction, it doesn't have a visitor centre, and there are no visitor facilities as such.
But the Bealach is an unforgettable drive up and along one of the most dramatic roads on mainland UK, rivalling many a Swiss mountain pass and with terrific views across much of Wester Ross, the whole of Skye, and the Islands of Rum and the Outer Hebrides. You will NOT forget this drive as long as you live!

Bonjour Viviane

Quel nom d'endroit. L'Écosse est vraiment remarquable au niveau des paysage ainsi que de l'accent des habitants. J'aime les pierres à l'avant plan qui apportent une certaine profondeur à l'ensemble.

Are you recalling the superb weather that you experienced, as well as the superb views!

I really like how you have anchored the f/g with such sharp details, it gives us a stating point from which to launch ourselves across the glen and towards the loch. We don't actually finish there as the view is absolutely vast!

Een prachtig gezicht op dit Schotse landschap, de vallei in de voorgrond is erg leeg, maar daarom niet minder mooi, en hij loodst mooi in de richting van het loch in de achtergrond. Het licht en de wolkenlucht zorgden voor uitstekende omstandigheden.
