A good day for sailing., a photo from Devon, England

Photographer's Note

Three more pictures from our walk on the cliffs just south of Plymouth.
There was a sailing event happening, with a large trophy to be awarded to the winners.

The structure that can be seen on the horizon is Plymouth Breakwater built of stone protecting Plymouth Sound and the anchorages near Plymouth.

Hello Jean,
It's rather funny how my eyes are immediately drawn to the people that may be seen in a photo. I should have noticed the many boats first, or the rocky beach, or the grass in the foreground, but first thing I saw was the lady in pink. Looking at the enlarged view I found two more persons behind her. There is quite a lot going on here, everything happening beneath an impressive sky. I like both WS too, especially #2 with its lively view of the beach. It seems the weather favoured staying on the beach fully clothed rather than getting into the water.

Hi Jean,the cliffs are a perfect POV to take pics from above of the Plymouth coast and here i can see 2 new very composition,a watch to the sea in the main pic under the clouds and a long perspective very well done in the WS with the old surprise on the top in background,i like it! A nice view about the sea and the small sailboats very far on water.
Excellent panorama and good contrast in foreground.

Lepe jedrilice na moru, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najavljuju promenu vremena.
Lepo mesto na obali sa lepim pogledom.

Good morning Jean,
The figures walking on the rocks on the shore and the boats out on the bay gave a superb scale to appreciate the wide scope of this picture. At first, I thought this was a smaller scale photo.
Good capture while the gray clouds passed above.

Hello Jean,

Three finely exposed photographs to reveal the lesser known regions of Plymouth.
I like how you have included the grassy area in the f/g, it provides a very interesting contrast, both in colours and textures, with the adjacent shore. There are guide lines out to sea, where the yachts capture our attention.

Hello Jean,

It might not be the Mediterranean, but it's open space and not overrun with high rise condos, private seashore enclaves & exclusive marinas. Nice repetition of the boats and a pleasant diffused light. Tfs!

Three beautiful pictures showing the coast around Plymouth.
I like your compositions and the way you present this coastline.
The jagged rock formations and the large clouds play a major role in these photos.
