Photographer's Note
Lanhydrock once again.
This road leads away from the house and winds its way up a rise towards the car park.
The car is a Humber, sorry that is all I can tell you about it. I think that they were giving people a ride from the car park, but I could be wrong.
One more closer view of the car in the w/s.
Thank you for looking.

Hello dear friend and have a nice day
a pleasant photo with nice details
which are very well composed
but the beauty here is the couple
walking together holding the hands
eachother...
but the car is eye catching too...

A wonderful capture, Jean, besides the fact that this car I never saw nor heard about, captured while taking the curve on the narrow road.
Hope the cows kept calm when seeing this old beauty...
WS is no less attractive picture, cheers.
Good afternoon,
Ike
*** On Wikipedia just realized there were many latyer models of this make.

Hello Jean,
This photo has a number of very good elements. The old car of course, a real beauty and well placed in the photo; the narrow road winding gently through the green scenery; the elderly couple holding hands; the black and white cows that don't even seem to be fenced-in. Through a combination of luck and skill you managed to get everything in the right place, giving the composition a perfect balance. As usual the enlarged view looks so much sharper and better.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Jean,
Beautiful view of this classic car in English landscape. I like the curves on the road, the couple and cows on the pasture. The WS gives a better idea of the Humber car itself.

Hello Jean,
THis is a such a fine, old car!
It perfectly fits the setting of an old house. You could imagine a Downton Abbey moment!
As an aside, I just love the idea that the old couple were walking home, hand-in-hand, as their lovely old car had broken down. (That is what I imagined before I read your notes.)
My warm, regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean, unfortunately I don't know how to help you about the name of this old car, I am one of the few who has never posted one outside of the photos I took in Cuba, there are many experts here who I hope they can help you. Two beautiful photos, not only the car but also the scenery, really gorgeous! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
"Humber" is a historic British brand of bicycles, motorcycles and cars. In 1925 Humber took over Commer and in 1928 Hillman. In 1931, Humber was acquired by Rootes, which was acquired by Chrysler in 1967.
I find your WS better aa main picture, but this is chooze of photographer
You chose a wonderful angle with depth and perspective
Nice sharp and clear photographed.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Jean,
I get a very Downton Abbeyesque feeling from this photo with the curved driveway and the classic car with nice deep blue colours in the foreground. The couple and the cows are both very good additions to the composition as well.

Hello Jean,
So it was not your own car that you drove to Lanhydrock House :) Your photo in the WS shows it excellently.
Beautiful composition with the road curving through the park.
I see that some trees, plants and flowers are fenced off. But to my surprise, the cows can come out freely on the road.
I searched for more photos of Lanhydrock on this site and found some that you uploaded years ago. However, under a slightly different name.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jean
A lot of folks seem to be posting vintage cars this week, and why not? Good sharpness and my guesstimate is from the mid 1930's, so it's amazing this car is still in good shape. Tfs!

Hello Jean,
This photo could have been taken decades ago, but the couple in present-day clothes gives away the more current date. :-) I like how the road winds, with the couple in the center, and the cows resting in the distance. Take care!

Hi Jean,
Very photogenic car. I like even more the photo of its front side but of course the main shot shows it in the context of the turning road and two people holding hands so the final result is more interesting here.
Great reportage,

Hello Jean,
You've caught a lovely romantic scene with a touch of 'days gone by'.
The loving couple, walking hand-in-hand and still bonding with each other ... yes indeed , 'Time to go Home'.
I do like the car very much as the two letters on the car plate JA - Jolly Admirable.
Fantastic to use for wedding photo-shoot as I see more closer in the WS.
A very well captured shot.

Hello Jean,
I love that classic car. The curvature of the road is pleasant, too.

PS. I found out the term for root cellar is earth cellar in British English.

Hi Jean,
The curve of the road is creating depth. The presence of the persons is animating the scene. The pont of view is showing the details of Humber. Have a nice day.
