Photographer's Note
Bristol Cathedra A church has probably stood on this site for over a thousand years. About 1140 Robert Fitzhardinge founded the Abbey of St. Augustine. The Chapter House and Abbey Gatehouse remain clearly to be seen: the rest is most occupied by Bristol Cathedral School.
"The eastern end of the Cathedral, especially in the Choir, gives Bristol Cathedral a unique place in the development of British and European Architecture. The Nave, Choir and Aisles are all the same height, making a large hall. Bristol Cathedral is the major example of a 'Hall Church' in Great Britain and one of the finest anywhere in the world.
In 1539 the Abbey was closed and the incomplete nave was demolished. The building was turned into the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity in 1542. In 1868 plans were drawn up to complete the Nave to its medieval design. The Architect, G.E.Street, found the original pillar bases, so the Cathedral is much as it would have been when it was still the abbey church. J. L. Pearson added the two towers at the West End and further reordered the interior."

Very, very good church photo. Although in these places a vertical framing would be the most natural, in this case, as the top is underexposed, the horizontal framing fits perfectly to explore the wide showing more columns.
Also like the slight tilt to the left. It brings an unusual dynamic to thes type of photos. Very interesting. Was this a choice or did it happen by chance?
Good exposure in the windows.

Hi Katarzyna, amazing image!
the composition is wonderful, with that dark mood and the central window that dominates the church.
good perspective too.
i think that you should be change the angle of the image and try to change the colors in black/white, to have a more dramatic picture.
thanks, ciao

Zastanawialem sie czy zdjecie nie powinno byc troche jasniejsze, ale straciloby chyba klimat. Ladnie pokazany rozmiar budowli. Wstawilem Workshopa, mam nadzieje, ze sie nie obrazisz :)
Pozdrawiam

Hello Katharina,
Thanks for sharing the photo, and for the interesting comments.
The only objection I could say, if you ask me to, is the not-perfect position of the camera... I'm a symmetry fan. ;-)
Regards.
