While using the name «Martello » in the search engine of TE, 13 different Martello towers appears across the world. About 200 of those towers were built in the 1800 around the British coasts. They were shot by photographers of
• Québec city (Canada) (Tower No 1 and No 3);
• Grouville Bay, Channel Island;
• Skerries, Dublin, Ireland;
• Alderburch, Suffolk, England;
• Shingle St, Suffolk, England;
• Sandycove, Dublin, Ireland;
• Portmarnock, Dublin, Ireland;
• Sydney Harbour, Australia;
This is an historic piece of a military complex imported from the French by the British and built around the world. Your shot is as important as he twelve others pictures under the name of Martello in the TE search engine.
Thanks for sharing this lovely tower,
Jean-Pierre
