Photographer's Note
This was a difficult shot - I'm standing in a narrow street opposite the window of a jewellers which is at a lower level to me - what I've always thought were opaque posters covering the window reveal themselves at this particular time of day and in this light to be see through prints - I can vaguely make out forms moving around inside and moving closer make out the indecisive behaviour of the young woman over her prospective purchase - I had to work this spot a little to get this image.
I like the way that what is essential a straight picture gets confused by the reflective glare - apart from light all of the representative elements are straight forwardly as seen - the lines across the image are the print lines of the image stuck on the window .
It's an interesting wee jigsaw of a picture working out which part belongs on which plane within the image.

Very interesting shot, Kev! I like it very much, the double gze, one is decisive and inviting, the other is pondering and indecisive...I like this contrast concept, and also, the whole composition that from the note I understand you had to strain your abilities and the limits of the camera framing.
As we are living in a tight can, we can only find our way to express ourselves, even if it means to squeeze and strain...
;)
TFS!

hi kev,
i knew that one day you would go for the window adverts its gonna be a master stroke, and i was right;
cannot tell much about this image because is turned into a pretty much of an anstraction which i am totaly a dyletantee (probably in many more areas too, but of this particular one i am aware of), all i can say is that i simply love this effect of overlapping faces;
exciting work;
one of your best in tast few weeks;

Wow Kev, what a wonderful result! The multiple layers are amazing and this is incredibly well seen and timed. It's difficult to see what we are actually seeing here. Yes, the faces are obvious, but there are so many other details, shadows and textures. Really fascinating.
P.S. Your previous post is much too complicated for me to critique. Although I admire your creativity and timing, I think I am not 'mature' enough to appreciate it at this moment. I guess I just have to return once in a while to see if I can understand it better (that's why I put that picture into my favourites too)...

Hi Kev.
I like the idea, to me all faces look like they are a fake. Good choice to photograph a jewelry store, where it is most likely to see a woman behind a woman.
It must have been very hard to judge the perfect exposure and color warmth for this one, there are so much key elements in the photography that had to be taken into account. And boy, you did manage to perform close to the perfect. I appreciate you've chosen to share your experience on the other side of the lens, it was very usefull for me to read it.

Like the dark side of Sasa! Beautiful, complex, layered work, Kev, deserving of al the praise and more... You are soaring like an eagle these last couple of days. Interestinh how penetrating your notes are abuot the work itself, quite a workshop in itself.
Cheers,
Francis

Wooow, kev. This is great work, awesome layering of images, evoking indecision on what is live and what is a poster. The positions and expressions of the figures are all great as well, a provokative image. Great work.

Hi Kev,
This is a dual image what is very interesting with a play on the glass (beautiful reflection). I like this one because of the whole mysterious atmosphere. There is something intimate here, like a special play of emotions. Great shot Kevin!!! regards. maki

Hi Kev
fantastic! I like really much when several universes cross in a same photograph. the very beautiful final touch, it is the fabric which softens very well the usual reflections a little hard of a pane.
congrats

From the thumbnail I thought it was Sasa. Wrong. Clever and complicated - I'll stick to the simple elements here, the subtle tones, the pondering look, the sahdows and reflections unveiled with a clearly written note.

Another one of this sort of layering concept. I remember one from several days ago from you. This is so good because we really dont know which face (if either) is fake. The quality is marvelous.

Fantastic. I think this shot is symbolic of what 'real' woman are like (not the made up ones that are visualized in ads).

AAaah, Kev! It is funny, when I looked at this shot I thought I would have taken it too... :-) love it a lot! Your timing is perfect, to balance the two faces so well, which I am not sure I would have been able to do though... I also just ADORE the sinister quality about it, the mystery, the sexy gaze of the model vs the real expression of the passersby. A wonderful work!

Hi kev.

One of the reasons I wont be trying to join the reflections posse, is because this is just too good! This would spring to mind if ever I tried to start specialising in reflections...
The texture on here is really special..almost a mesh or some kind of material.

Hi Kev, i've browse a lot of your pages and what a huge contribution there on TE ! Your gallery is mostly pleasant, i do love your style, alternating street shooting ie composing with ads (still so photogenics) and people ... also protraits from your travels. yes this is a huge gallery and some gems are inside.
I stop on one of them, really tremendous one and as i've just commented a picture "same kind" in sasa's gallery i do it again on yours. I love the grain aspect there, i understand it was a difficult shot but you did so well
Congratulations
