Photographer's Note
Well this one I have no idea who or what he is do any of you out there?
they where only around for a couple of weeks seen mainly in the trees and bushes around the back of the lake, the wings when folded look black while the whole body is this bright green.Just over 1 cm long. The way they stalked round the leaves I would say it was not a veggy in habit very deffinatley a hunter, Just look at those jaws.
adjustments,
the usual collection of saturation, brightness, contrast and USM, did this photo a while back and forgot to make a note of the details

What can I say ? You're photography is incredible and deserves more than two points . However with that said I am going to try a workshop for practice .

Watch out, the aliens have landed. Beware of the green critters from Mars.. ;-))
Great angle on this bug, good sharpness and details and as much DOF as you could wring out of an F-6.3. Nice one!

Very nice and clear picture of this martian;-). I love the way he is looking at you - a little hungry may be.
Apart from tha I have to say, that I hoped that you - of all - could help me because I have several pictures of one similar to yours with folded wings. I would appreciate if you would let me know what you find out - I will do the same of course.

Superb! It is technically excellent, and the moment is perfectly chosen (the bug seems to be making some effort to climb the last few millimeters).

Yes, I like these kind of shots a lot Rob and from what I have seen, not much credit is often given on TE to close ups of small animals such as this which is a shame.
You've timed this well and everything that should be sharp is sharp.
I like it.

Hi Robert, It looks like a predator, one traight out of a nasty SCFI movie as well. I lkike the compo and the stance of this guy, ready to fight or to pounce!
