Photographer's Note
This one found me. Sat down of the middd-morning coffee break and this little beastie was crawling across my trousers. I am fairly sure it the caterpillar of the Green-viened white (Artogeia napi)of my last couple of posts.
It goes from egg to butterfly in the summer generation in only 37 days , thats 5 days from laying to hatching , then 18days to becoming a chrysallis, and 14 days for the final stage, of course if this is the over winter generation then the chrysalis stage lasts awhile longer till the warmer weather comes.
Food plant of the caterpillars are Wild members of the cabbage family such as wild mustard and charlock, but not the cultivated ones goody for the gardeners.
Notic the caterpillar is almost see through the line you can see, is inside the body and is the cenral nervous system, the bit that makes the whole work in sync.

Wow, this one is practically glowing green ;-) Excellent sharpness and DOF covering even the tiny hairs on his head (I take it left *is* the front end?).

Hola :) Rob: Beautiful color and fantastic contrast appreciation the vibrant and fluorescent green of the worm as well as the details of their paws and their hair. The details of the clarity of the body of the worm remind me to the jello or the plasm. I adore the simplicity in a single tone, with so many details, Wow, is fantastic, as always: I am impacted with the wonderful world of the insects that your you observe and that you share us. Thank you for this image and also for the informative note. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Oh my! What a fantastic colour, the texture looks like jelly babies/candy. The focus is spot on, it's a really crisp image made even better against the dark background.
