River Esk, a photo from Cumbria, England

Another picture from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway after yesterdays close up this one was taken from the seat of a moving open carriage going in the oposite direction to the River Esk pulling a simular load of tourists up this once working mineral extraction line,but its been carrying tourist to see the sights of the Esk valley since 1876, but all this detail is available on their web site.
The last time I rode this line was at the age of 7 years old with my dad, and there were full sized steam engines running on the main line that meets it at Ravenglass, that was over 40 years ago.

At first glance it looks huge, but then seeing the "driver", well not so huge after all ;o) I think you did great especially considering you were on a moving train, had to think fast. The position of the train makes it very dynamic and lucky you for getting him to look at you and smile.

A well framed shot, Robert. The train engine looks excellent. Good detail and colours. The stone walls in the background really set the scene.

Oh this one great and small (anyway not as great as seen by the thumbnail ;-)

Nice to whatch those old steam locomotives - I'm hoping for sunshine on sunday, to get a better shot of "my" steam train :-)

I better post a shot I toke on my holidays - it could be a nice theme - even that train very small, but still for passengers - thanks for sharing robert - I like it very much.
