Castle on the Loch Ness, a photo from Highland, Scotland

Photographer's Note

This is a shot of the Urquhart castle. This castle is located on the western bank of the famous Loch Ness. To get a good picture there, the most difficult part wasn't to wait for sunshine but to get a shot without any tourist going in it!

Even though the sky was "perferct blue", I chose to submit the B&W version because that camera wasn't rendering good the full amount of colors of that day.

Ceci est une photo du château d'Urquhart. Il est situé sur la rive ouest du célèbre Loch Ness. Pour prendre une bonne photo, le plus gros obstacle ne fut pas d'attendre un rayon de soleil en cette terre d'écosse, mais bien de réussir un cadre sans touristes à l'intérieur.

Malgré le fait qu'il s'agissait d'une journée sublime au ciel bleu, j'ai choisi de soumettre une version en noir et blanc, car je trouvais que mon appareil ne rendait pas justice aux couleurs de cette journée.

this place seems desolate, with nobody around. b&w works fine here. i like how the bright sun create contrast between the wall in the shadow and the wall exposed to the sun rays. the top of the castle seems it s standing for miracle.

Je pense que le N&B est très bienvenu ici. La masse sombre de la tour à droite a quelque chose de sauvage et d'inquiétant. Merci d'avoir eu la patience d'attendre le départ des touristes qui en auraient à coup sûr rompu le charme !
