Mosque, a photo from Tehran, East

Photographer's Note

This is a modern mosque built in Tehran, Iran. It is naturally a copy of the old designs and architectural models of such mosques, however, it is different from the old mosques in different terms. This is called Belal Mosque after the first Islamic Call-Outer (Moadhen) who invited Muslims for their first pray behind the Prophet of Islam almost 13.5 centuries ago.

Hi Ali -the black and gold combination is very appealing, I also like the off-centre position of the dome, though I have mixed feelings about the frame.

Wow, a beautiful night shot Ali, and great contrast and colours. Your exposure is spot on and the square format suits this well. I don't normally like seing frames around photographs on TE, because they so often detract from the image, but your gold frame here does complement the composition very well. Cheers . . . David
