Photographer's Note

On December 26th 2003 a major earthquake struck the city of Bam leveling around 60% of the city. It is estimated around 43 000 citizens lost their lives in this tragedy. Arg-é Bam citadel was also among the victims, an imposing city fortress which had survived the elements for more than 2000 years. This photo captures a small section of the city wall.

Nicely captured Johan, if the Volcano and hills were not in the background, this would look like you have been busy with a bucket and spade at the beach. I think your point of view is perfect.
