Photographer's Note
After last week widespread rainfall, snails were out in abundance in my home yard.
Here are a couple, relatively big in size (though I have no object to give scale on this picture), slowly moving in tandem through the green vegetation.
Picture converted from RAW, F7.1, 1/15, ISO100, AWB.

Hello Ike,
The leaves and straws, and a general idea of snails, make us understand quite well the size of these two creatures. They're not as cute as squirrels ord hedgehogs, but they are just as fascinating with their shining shells and the antennas on their heads. The contrasts of brown and green also make this photo nice.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Ike,
A good double portrait of these two snails. Their details are very well and clearly seen and also stand out from the fresh green of the leaves behind them.

Hello Ike,
We have the same snails here but I have no desire to try them out in French cooking! A superb macro shot of the not so dynamic duo, slowly winding their way to the right. Tfs!

Hi Ike,
The leaves are framing well the snails. The close-up point of view is showing the details of the snails. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,
The snails are looking for food.
You have caught them in a fine close-up,where we can see not only their smooth, curled shells but more excitedly, their soft body, covered in rough spots and their tentacles, extended above their heads. I believe they have their eyes on the ends of these stalks.
They are interesting creatures, even if they are unwelcome in most gardens,
You can understand how they can be easily camouflaged.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Ike, good nature observation. The snails like rain, they are active when the weather is wet. Their brown shells contrasts well with the green vegetation. Fine colors, excellent sharpness, regards.

Bonjour, cher Ike,

Hello Ike, Nice view of these two snails. They look like Roman snails (Helix pomatia), the French delicacy. Maybe you could have them for supper. Such snails are not os bad, at least not disgusting. Sometimes I have the invasion of the snails without shells, they are terrible. I make a beer trap for them.
Have a nice Sunday

Hi Ike
I wonder how difficult it is to photograph snails! I guess they don't move very fast haha...but they're small and hard to get to. Wasn't expecting to see a snail shot in your gallery. Cool to see their antenae. Did you know that if you fee snails salt or beer they will die...true. cheers

Dear Ike,
What a lovely, colorful capture of these 2 snails. The perfect close-up shows us all the details of the shells, the grey bodies and the antennas. They are funny, looking like an old couple shopping for food and look intense about it !
I am afraid to admit I eat snails as a true Franch person, but maybe nowadays I will thinkthey are too cute to eat !
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ike Those two, members of the same species, for sure have the common goal of feeding! Your picture is a lesson of anatomy in itself, due to the excellent quality and the close view in the verdant environment. I feel bitterness though, knowing that in a few years I won't be able to walk faster than they do!! Shalom

Snails in their biotope. A very fine double protrait with a fine graphic appeal, Ike. The brown-green colour colour contrast makes this one work. Best regards from Rotterdam, Bert

Hello Ike,
I used to have many snails in my backyard, but in the past few years they have disappeared. It's nice to see a couple in your photo. I think snails are cute, and these two are fine specimens. :-)

Hello Ike,
Snails are not yet the most popular photo subject from the animal world.
Too bad that these very quiet animals are forgotten, I think when I see this beautiful photo.
Wonderfully presented in their natural habitat.
Best regards, Paul
