Photographer's Note
Rose-ringed parakeet also known as green Karameri or Derara, is a small but invading specie of a parrot.
Its squawk is loud and sometimes bloodcurdling sharp, it's a fast flying but a harmless bird. It measure on average 40 cm (16 in) in length, including the tail feathers. Their average single-wing length is about 15 to 17.5 cm (Source from Wikipedia).
Picture was converted from RAW, F9.0, 1/200, ISO100, cropped the lower part by a bit.

Hello Ike,
I gather that this is not a native species to Israel.
It is a very colourful bird and you have shown off its bright green plumage and contrasting red, curved beak very well, despite the fact that you were underneath the bird.
I love how the richly textured branch has become a fine, almost diagonal perch!
The features all show up well against this clear, blue sky.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ike, The strong diagonal of the tree branch nicely anchors your composition. There are also nice colour contrast and a well chose DoF to be enjoyed. And these parakeet's are a invading species indeed, we often see them in the centre of Rotterdam. Take care, Bert.

Hi Ike,
The branches are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Rose-Ringer Parakeet. The colours are very nice. Have a nice day.

Dear Ike,
Another interesting capture/entry in your gallery.
Taken with perfect pov and sharpness. As if she has noticed the photograper !
Here in İstanbul we have man many thousands of them. Some years ago a big cage full with those green parakeets felt down during the transfer in İstanbuls airport and all of them flew away. Since than they have populated all the parks of İstanbul on both sides of the city.
TFS and best regards

Hi Ike,there are a lot of parakeets like that in my country too,not cold winters so a good thing to survive. Excellent capture very sharp despite the distance, just a pity for the overexposed wing. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ike,
It may be an invasive species, but it would still be fun to see a bird like this in a tree in the nearest park. But this kind would probably not enjoy the Scandinavian climate. Such a sharp and well composed photo should make you proud. The parakeet is perfectly exposed and well seen against the blue sky. At first, looking at the thumbnail, I thought it looked like a snake crawling behind it, but it's just an innocent twig.
Best regards,
Gert

Ike, that species of parrot found welcoming habitats in Israel. It is an invading species that adapt it well to the region. I like its green plumage and its red beak. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.

Hello Ike,
Cute little fella'! In the thumbnail view, the twig on the right looks like a snake climbing to get the little fella'. 👍🏻👍🏻

Bonjour, cher Ike,
Je l'aime bien cette perruche, je ne pensais pas qu'elle était si imposante quant aux dimensions;
La prise de vue est une réussite (milieu naturel).
Très bonne journée.

Hello Ike!
Rose-ringed parakeets (Psittacula krameri) are not only an invading species in Israel, but also in Germany! There are 2700 of them living in Cologne, and as it it their instinctive habit that all of them assemble on a single tree for their nocturnal sleep, they do not have too many friends among the citizens...
Let me see if I can shoot a German one, perhaps with a Balkenkreuz on wings or fuselage?
Have a nice week!

Olá Ike,
Belo close deste periquito com o bico rosa. Aqui temos barulhentas maritacas que fazem muito barulho voando juntas bem cedo de manhâ. Linda foto!

Hi Ike,
what a lovely wild life photo. The parrot contributes some well saturated green and red while being set against the spotless blue sky.
The tree branches add some ornaments around.
Very well seen and captured,

Very good POV with that branch giving a diagonal line and the bird I think is a kind of parrot, well positioned on it.
Wonderful colors in soft tones, excellent sharpness and splendid light.
Well done. I like it.
You have a good day.

Hello Ike,
A good upward pov on the resting green parrot. The clear blue sky makes a superb backdrop. I hope the 'Dragon' storm didn't do any damage in Israel. Tfs!

Hello Ike,
The parakeet may have hoped to hide on top of the trunk but it can only hide its feet.
Beautifully taken while the bird looks at you over its shoulder.
Very pretty with the blue sky as background.
Best regards, Paul
